Tranlogue will host a workshop of paddy harvesting and harvest festival in the style like WWOOF in September.
Our paddy is raised with pesticide-free production and 100% organic fertilizer.
In the workshop, we are going to harvest paddy rice by hand work.
You must join us if you are interested in Japanese culture, people and traditional harvest.
As a general rule, people aged 10 or above can participate in this workshop with participants' safety in mind.

*Purpose

Rice harvest festival (tasting harvested rice), experience of paddy harvesting, conservation and regeneration of Satoyama (A border zone or area between mountain foothills and arable flat land), cultural exchange between city and country.

Sun. 20 September, 2015
Start around at 10:30 AM

*Venue
Mutsuzawa-machi (Mutsuzawa town), Chosei-gun (Chosei district), Chiba prefecture, Japan.
The Closest station: Kazusa-Ichinomiya Station on Sotobo Line ( 1 hour from Tokyo station by the limited express "Wakasio").

*Participation fee
Free [based on the style like WWOOF (*1)]

*Contents
-Paddy harvesting, hanging out to dry paddy rice.
-Husking with foot-operated machine, rice polishing, etc.
*The above work will be held only for those who are interested.
-Tasting harvested rice.
-You can take the polished rice as souvenir.
